Weekend bicycle/music festival - August 26-27, 2017
The Pedaler's Jamboree is a music festival created for bicycle riders and non-riders alike! Get a ticket for a weekend bicycle ride full of adventure or a non-rider ticket for the main stage festivities in Bondurant on August 26th. We will be visiting the Chichaqua Valley Trail (CVT) and it's communities in 2017. This year is the 30th anniversary of the CVT!
For non-riders with ticket passes to the overnight destination at the Bondurant Recreational Sports Complex(2050 Jr Haines Pkwy, Bondurant, IA), gates open at 3 pm on Saturday, August 27th. Camping will also be available at this same location. Non-Rider tickets will be available at Ira and Mingo in addition to Bondurant.
Bicyclists depart on the morning of Saturday, August 26th from the trailhead in Baxter, IA. Check in time is from 9 am until 11 am. Drop off your overnight packs at check in and prepare for a weekend of relaxed bike riding, music, and fun. The trail encompasses a wide range of landscapes, from wooded stretches, prairies, rivers and farmland. Stop at your convenience at a handful of locations to enjoy live music and entertainment. Bands will play throughout the day in communities across the trail.
The final destination will host the feature event with main stage music. Overnight camping is included for all registered riders! Hotel/motel accommodations are available in Altoona, IA (stay tuned for shuttle details). There will be food available at restaurants throughout Bondurant as well as food vendors at the campground/music area.
The following day (Sunday, August 27), riders will return to to Baxter, IA on the trail. Music and festivities will continue to rock until riders complete the ride at the end of the day on Sunday.

Showers and such:The Athletic and Fine Arts Booster Clubs will host the Bondurant Middle School showers. The showers will be offered as Free Will Donation with a suggested $3 donation. Towels will not be available. Soap and shampoo samples will be available until supply runs out … first come, first served. There are 10 Women and 10 Men showers. Showers will be open Saturday (8/26) 3 pm-8 pm and Sunday (8/27) 7 am-9 am
Free bus shuttle from the Park to the hotels in Altoona: There will be a free bus shuttle for registered participants from the music area to hotels starting at 4 pm on Saturday and ending at 11 pm. The bus will make a loop around town starting and finishing at the park. The next morning the bus will pick up patrons at the hotels starting at 7 am and ending at 9 am. Riders will need to pick up their gear at the park and transport it with them to the hotels. It will need to be dropped off at the designated pick up zone on Sunday morning by 10 am for transport back to the start. We recommend that you bring a bike lock and secure your bike to a fence or a safe spot at the Bondurant Sports Complex if you decide to take the shuttle to the hotel.

BIKE AND PERSON SHUTTLE SERVICE TO HOTELS
If you need to get your bicycle safely transported to a hotel in Altoona and you would like to travel in style (and at a set pick up time) we recommend you connect with Kokopelli Bike Shuttle. They will be transporting riders from the Bondurant Sports Complex to Altoona Hotels at the following times -
6 pm, 7 pm, 8 pm, 9 pm and 10 pm. Rider fee can be paid at the time of the shuttle service. Shuttle fees are $15 for one way rides and $25 round trip (Sunday morning pick up). They need 6 people to leave a location. To learn more contact Koko Bike Shuttle at: www.kokobikeshuttle.com

There will be a limited number of seats available for shuttle back on Sunday morning. Advanced reservations are available for $10/person. RSVP on the Ticket Reservation page or pick up a pass on Sunday morning.

Alcohol is not allowed in the camping/parking area as it is located on school property. Also we ask that if you keep the area quiet for those who want to get some sleep. Looking for a place to pre-party? Head to Cadillac Jacks in Baxter! Plenty of parking for cars and RVS. Lots of green space for tents. -
Ira - Park at Community Center, approx. 25 tents in the green space! - NO CAR PARKING AVAILABLE
Mingo - Near the Fire Dept there are 6 power spots for tents or RV’s! Tent camping available at the ball diamond across from the trail.
Bondurant - Bondurant Regional Sports Complex, approx. 20 RV’s space around the parking lot, tents may arrive as well. Depending on the number of RV’s there is space available near the trailhead with power - to RSVP and RV spot contact: firstname.lastname@example.org
